We are expanding our presence in Mainland Europe and seeking a strategic and dynamic Business Development Manager to lead growth in key territories.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager – Mainland Europe will drive growth by identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities across target markets. This role requires a strong commercial mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the coatings and construction products sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in increasing Zinsser’s market share and presence across Mainland Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy across Mainland Europe to drive sales growth and brand presence.
Identify new markets, customer segments, and partnership opportunities, including distributors, wholesalers, and end-users.
Manage and grow relationships with key accounts and channel partners, providing training and technical support as required.
Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform strategic decisions and product positioning.
Collaborate closely with the marketing, product development, and operations teams to align go-to-market strategies.
Monitor sales performance metrics and KPIs, providing regular reporting to senior leadership.
Represent Zinsser at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings throughout Mainland Europe.
Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and innovations in the coatings and construction markets.
Vereisten
Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles in the coatings, building materials, or related industries.
Proven track record of delivering sales growth and developing new markets, preferably within Europe.
Strong network of industry contacts within paint distribution, or B2B, B2C sales channels.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Fluent in English; additional European languages (e.g., German, French, Spanish, Dutch) highly desirable.
Willingness to travel regularly across Mainland Europe (up to 50%).
